Thanks again to Jenn over at Peas and Crayons for hosting WIAW!!!

Here it goes for yesterday:

Image Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 Image 4 Image 5

I ate it all, this was what was left.

Image 6I really wanted a glass of wine tonight & transitioned to white wine because I want warm weather.  I typically drink white wine in warm weather & red in cold weather.  I’m ready for warm weather already!

Here’s a deal for you!

IMG_3407 IMG_3409I got this awesome running tank from Betty Designs.   Her stuff is absolutely adorable.  You’ve got to check it out.  I don’t do tri’s, but she has great stuff if you do.  If you see something you like, use this code for 15% off your order (HRM15).

I will post a new giveaway tomorrow.

What are you eating today?

I’m off for a run.  Inside because it’s rainy & in the 40’s outside & I’m not going to run in that.  What the heck is up with the weather.

WIAW #6, giveaway & a birthday !

WIAW GOES GREEN

Thanks Jenn from Peas and Crayons for hosting another WIAW!!!!

IMG_3349

Breakfast was on the go… I woke up late (hate when that happens).  I had to cut my workout short, hurry up & hang up balloons & streamers for Stone’s birthday & get ready before he woke up this a.m. so I could be ready with his birthday surprise.  Phew, I made it, but barely.  I grabbed a Quest bar (remember this for another post, hint) & my dandy new favorite glass so I could enjoy breakfast at work.  There’s green tea in that glass!

IMG_3350

I had an apple for a mid morning snack (yes, it’s a recycled picture, but it was a honey crisp).

IMG_3328

lunch was leftover zucchini/broccoli casserole with hummos.  Was a great combo.

IMG_3381

I had this snack for Stone, as he likes a treat when I pick him up from school, but snagged some myself!  OMG- it’s so good!  It’s a little weird at first, but then it grows on you!  It’s a little spicy & a little sweet!  It’s a great treat & so yummy!

IMG_3379

My dinner was perfect!  Of course, it was Stone’s birthday, so he got to choose what he wanted & he chose hot dogs with white bread buns, sesame noodles (not whole wheat pasta, plain white pasta), brussels sprouts  & cookie cake.  His favorites!!!

IMG_3380

I knew that if I had a bite of the cookie cake, I’d have 5 pieces, so I had an orange instead.  That was will power for me, as they said it was really great.  I don’t have much control & save my suger overloads for Saturdays (usually).

IMG_3383

Don’t forget to enter the Rafflecopter for the Two Moms in the Raw giveaway!

I’m off for a run (darn it, not outside, it’s so cold)  & my tabata bootcamp!  I’m really loving it.  It goes by quickly & keeps me motivated.

What’s on your agenda today?

WIAW #5

WIAW GOES GREEN

Thanks again to Jenn over at Peas & Crayons for the WIAW link up!

I must say that this is not one of my proudest posts!  However, I must be honest, so here goes it!

IMG_3306

I had a pumpkin mug with plain Chobani for breakfast.  I was off to a great start until I found out that Truman wasn’t feeling well & not going to school.

IMG_3307

After a few phone calls, I needed a snack.  Looks like Nemo wanted some of this delicious apple too.  She didn’t get any!

IMG_3309

Lunch was leftover soup!  It’s still good & I’m not tired of it, so it was lunch!

After lunch is when problems arose!  Truman wanted to make cupcakes, so I promised I wouldn’t add chickpeas, coconut flour, spelt flour, or any of my other secret additions.  They would be down right poison, nothing good for you in them, just the way he likes them.  So, we found a box of cake mix in the pantry (only one we had) along with frosting, and we were making cupcakes.  The problem is that I LOVE cake batter.  Gross, you may say, but I say YUM!  So, I had a spoonful of batter here & a lick of the finger there & by the time we were done filling up the cake tins, I was a bit naseaus!  I like it a lot & have no control when it comes to this poison!

That was my afternoon snack.  Nothing good about that, but Truman was happy!

IMG_3310

Dinner was great!  We all had eggs different ways.  Mine were nice & easy.  I had a jar of Rotelle with poached eggs, hot sauce & nutritional yeast as a topper!  Really quick, easy & delicious!

IMG_3311

Then, the boys were having cupcakes for desert, well I had to have 1.  Yes, I only had one, am really sick of them now.  (At least until next time.)  I always tell myself that I’m never going to do that again, but then next time comes & I do it again!  More issues…..

I did have a quick run in the a.m., along with my push ups as planned, so at least I started the day off on the right foot & felt good about that.

I’m now off to run on my treadmill watching my new passion: Jail Break.

Love that show!

There are still a few more days left to enter the Rafflecopters on the upper right side of this page.

Don’t forget about the 30% off deal for any Quenchwear!  Just enter RUNMOM30 when you place your order.  This offer is valid until Friday March 15, so don’t wait much longer if you’re thinking of placing an order.

My friend, Laura over at Fit Running Mama is putting me on a new workout regimine.  I’m just learning about it, but will be sure to share with you when I get going.  She has me all set to start next week….

What are you up to today?

Ellie is in the house & WIAW #4

Have you heard the buzz about Ellie yet?

IMG_3244

Well, let me tell you a bit…

It’s All About The Fit

When it comes to the perfect capri or your favorite racerback, we know that it’s all about the fit. When you look good, you feel good, so we design every piece to make sure that when you put it on, you feel amazing. Paying attention to details like seam placement, waistband size and silhouette are what make our pieces perfect. Each piece is designed by women, for women, so it’s made to flatter all body types. Using pop stitching on a tank to imitate a smaller waist, creating side panels on a legging to accentuate a lean shape, or adding style lines on our pants that give that perky butt look that all women crave are just some of the ways we’ve perfected our fit. And with the Trufiit Technology we’ve developed you’ll never have to worry about sizing, all of our pieces run true to size. We use the highest quality fabrics that hold your shape and fit like a glove so they stretch and move with you.

For the perfect piece, it all comes down to this. How you feel in your clothes during your workout can certainly make a big difference. We’ve developed our very own line of high-performing material to make sure that you get the best workout possible.

Thanks again Jenn over at PeasandCrayons for the host of WIAW!
IMG_3192
It’s always a good start of the day when I have my coffee & So Delicious coconut creamer- it’s really the BEST!
IMG_3274 IMG_3275
Have you heard of freekeh?  It’s a new grain, roasted green wheat.  It has a nutty flavor & you cook it just like rice/quinoa, etc.  1 part freekeh, 2 parts liquid.  I put a few of my favorite things in with it & it was delicious!  I’ll post recipe another time soon!
IMG_3276
Dinner = coconut curry lentil soup & some crackers.  Take a peak at those crackers because you’re going to see them again soon (hint: giveaway)!
IMG_3277
I had such a sweet tooth & had to have some more jelly beans.  I’m so glad that I finished them because there are no more for me to have!  I also had some cacoa nibs.  I love those things.  I started eating them because I had low iron & got hooked.  They’re so good, I just eat them by the handful.  Although, you can certainly stir into yogurt or anything else to give a little sweetness/crunch.
Don’t forget about the RunnerBox giveaway here!  It’s going on until Friday.
I am very excited about a few more offers/giveaways I’m working on for you!  Hold tight & keep reading so you can keep abreast of what’s to come!
What do you look for in your workout wear?

WIAW #3

Here’s another What I ate Wednesday post.  Thank you Jenn over at Peas & Crayons for hosting WIAW!

wiawloveyourveggiesmonthbutton2

My morning started with a little 3 mile run & push ups.  I’m on week 5 of my 100 push up app & am progressing nicely.  I especially enjoy it when I have more push ups to do because that’s more time I get to see Homeland!  Yay baby!  I am almost done & oh boy.  You may be happy b/c I’ll stop talking about it, but I’ll be sad for it to end :(.

IMG_3185 Sometimes I know the reason I workout at home in my basement is so I can wear whatever I grab in the a.m.  Red & blue top with green & yellow bottom- Hmm.  Not so matchy, is it?  But, I’m in the basement when the rest of my family is asleep, so that’s how it is…IMG_3184

I was in a hurry to get out of the house yesterday  & the boys were a bit sleepy, so we had a late start.  There was no time for my regular mug muffin or anything blended, so I grabbed what I could & ran out of the house so the boys weren’t late for the bus.

IMG_3187This was breakfast at my desk when I got to work.  I had an apple with PB2 & green tea.  OH, I ate the banana in the car, couldn’t wait for that.

Surprisingly, no snacks for me yesterday, another busy day at work.  When lunchtime came I was starving!

IMG_3190

Leftover Kalamata olvie & herb socca with roasted vegies along with sweet potato zucchini patties.  So delicious.  I love these kind of leftovers!

IMG_3189

I’m always needing a little afternoon boost or I’ll get into trouble & eat everything in site.  I ran home after work to pick up Nemo to take with me to get the boys because I didn’t know how long it would take me to get them home in the snow, so I thought we’d keep each other company.  She had a treat, I had a yogurt!

IMG_3191

Dinner was leftover chicken coconut curry soup with cilantro & rice.  Was really better this time than a couple days ago.  The flavor was so much richer.

I had some tea before bed.  It was an early to bed night, as the snow really made us all tired!

Today I’m hoping for a nice long run & more Homeland!  Yes, more Homeland & I still love it.

WIAW #2

wiawloveyourveggiesmonthbutton2

Yesterday was a great food day for me, which always makes me happy!

IMG_2964

Be Real Cereals & Almond Milk.  I didn’t have time for a muffin, but love this cereal.  Some people eat it hot, but I love it as it, simple & cold!  I’d eat it without almond milk, but it’s way too crumbly & messy!

Unknown

Love my apple’s for mid morning snacks.  They really help get through the morning.

IMG_2953Unknown

Lunch was more cauliflower soup & another apple!  I love the soup.  It’s seriously easy & delicious.  You can add greens, or whatever herbs you like.  If you try a variation, please let me know what you’ve done so I can try it too.

Unknown-1

Well, I had to run to the store before I got the boys from school & was really hungry, so I got these Keenway snacks.  They’re really great.  However, the package said there were 4 servings.  Well, it wasn’t 4 servings for me :).

9c4eb0fdde05b9bb42e9dcf31a56f443

I made this red lentil spinach curry last night & I can’t tell you how amazing it was! Not difficult & seriously so amazing.  You HAVE to try it!

IMG_2958

I typically have something sweet at night & a bedtime tea, but had Stone’s first  band concert last night!  Got home & went straight to bed!

Don’t forget to enter the Affresh giveaway for their complete line of cleaning full size supplies.  I love them & are sure you will too!  The Rafflecopter is on the top right side of the page.  You can enter daily for more chances to win!

I’m loving these giveaways!  Hope you are too, as I have a few more coming up….

What will you eat today?

WIAW #2

Peas and Crayons

Here we go again, I’ve linked up with the fine folks at Peas & Crayons for their WIAW.  I love seeing what other people eat, so I  hope you do too!

IMG_2899

2 egg omlet with kale & arugula with nutritional yeast & hot sauce-YUM!

Here’s what I had for breakfast!  I had time to have this, which was rare, but such a delicious treat!  Honestly!  Had coffee too, just forgot to take a picture.  Of course the coffee was with So Delicious french vanilla coconut milk creamer (now that cocout is not poison for me)!

Typically I have a little snack, but had such a hectic morning- no snack for me! 😦   I did drink lots of water & green tea, which kept me going.  Not a very good example, but it was one of those days!

IMG_2897

IMG_2814

Delicious pumpkin/squash black bean chili, the apple is a recycled picture.

I’ll be eating this all week.  Doesn’t even need any seasoning tweeking, it’s so good!

Again, was in a rush for my afternoon snack, so I simply had some dried mangos from Trader Joes to keep me going!  They’re a great little treat snack.

IMG_2898

salmon & roasted brussels sprouts

We love fish at our house, it’s quick, good & easy!  And, all of us eat it!  Nothing beats that!

IMG_2901

Was definitly a glass of wine kinda night, as it was a very stressful day!  Love my red wine!

Surprisingly enough, no dessert for me!  I usually have a little something after dinner, but the wine did it tonight.

I told you a while ago that I would tell you about the push up app I use.

It’s called 100 Push Ups.  I love it!  You take a simple fitness test to get you started & then it sets up a routine for you from there.  You eventually work your way up to doing 100 push ups in a day!  The push ups aren’t 100 constant, you get breaks in between.  I typically take 30 seconds between sets.  Right now, I’m on 88 push ups for the day.  I’ve done this program over several times & just love it.  It’s truly amazing how quickly you progress!  I’m definitely an instant gratification kind of gal, so this is perfect for me.  It’s also only .99, that’s hard to beat!

The folks over at Ellie have new designs that are made for just the way you like them.  The website takes you through a serious of questions about your workout style & selects workout gear just for you.  I’m excited to get my first Ellie shipment very soon.  They have a program that you can sign up to receive monthly shipments or simply order for 1 month & see if you like it.  The company is dedicated to making every customer happy, so you can return anything if you just don’t like it, no questions asked!  Check out the website & the great 20% discount on the side of this page.  It’s certainly worth a shot!  I’ll be sure to let you know what I get when my shipment arrives!

Do you love any apps that you use often?

What’s  on your menu for today?

                                                  Peas and Crayons

This post is something new & exciting for me.  I’ve been following a lot of other bloggers who hook up with Jenn at Peas and Crayons and post their eats on Wednesdays.  I am a self described “foodie”.  I do love food.  I don’t eat because you should, I eat because I love food.  I get excited when I find a new food, new recipe, new product, etc.  I could talk about food all day long.  I am also a lover of trying new things & checking out other people’s eats.  So, I’m going to start posting WIAW (What I ate Wednesday).  It’s a fun way to share…

WIAW is, as described by Peas and Crayons is:

—-What WIAW isn’t about—-
Comparison – Judgement – Restriction – Guilt
—-What WIAW is about—-
Celebrating one of the glorious things we all have in common: We all eat!
WIAW is about food and fun! It’s about making new friends, breaking out of a food rut, noting changes in your diet/lifestyle, inspiring yourself & others, embracing fruit & vegetables, nourishing your body with the foods that work for you, finding new ways to eat your favorite foods, and so. much. more.
Celebrate Food.  Celebrate blogging.  Celebrate Individuality.
Well, here’s my first WIAW post!
IMG_2812
                            BREAKFAST
             (Chobani, frozen banana, chia seeds)
IMG_2813
                            (SNACK)
                     pumpkin granola bar
(No picture of lunch!  My colleagues would have thought I was nuts if I took a pic of my plate.)
                                        (LUNCH)
I’d like to tell you I had amy delicious quick crock vegie soup, but I didn’t!  I had a meeting & they had a deli tray.  Well, I simply can’t do deli.  I have a hard time eating poultry, as I ususally just don’t enjoy it, but deli-NO way!  So, they had some cabbage salad, mushrooms & cucumbers I munched on.  There was no protein there, so I knew I was in for  troubles later…
IMG_2814
                          SNACK
(apple in the car & delicious cookies that Laura gave me.  When she shares the recipe, I’ll share with you.  They were amazing!  I wanted to eat 1, then ate another & then another.  I ate all 3.  They were so YUM!)
IMG_2816
                           DINNER
(salmon & roasted broccoli slaw with banana peppers, I had a lot more broccoli slaw, my favorite!)  I’ll post that recipe tomorrow- EASY!
IMG_2821
                           Dessert
(Calcium aka adora & spoonful of NuttZo)
* I used to take calcium pills, but then I discovered adora~  Not only are they filled with 500mg calcium, they’re YUM, so I think of them as a double treat!
**DON’T FORGET TO ENTER RAFFLECOPTER FOR CHOBANI**
